Happy 28th Birthday !!!!

HAPPY 28TH BIRTHDAY to ME (Nov 21st)



For some of you that may not know me all that well, my birthday is kinda a big deal. I count down from Nov 1st which is exactly 20 days away (3 weeks). This year being no exception. I just turned 28, and I am so excited to see what this next year will bring me, as my 27th year of life seemed to be my most eventful, life changing and memorable.

I have the most wonderful people in my life and was able to spend it with such wonderful peope to make it an absolutely amazing day.

Although I had to work on your Birthday, which really shouldn't be allowed, I realized that that is exactly where I needed to be this year. If I had planned it it couldn't have been more perfect, but I think that's why it was such a wonderful day, I just let it happen.

I had an amazing bestest friend visit me with a special delivery of a gift, balloon, and a cupcake, but most of all her presence. I work with some amazing people and had one of the best shifts there so far.

I just wanted to share with all of you this amazing day I just had!
Thanks to all of you to make it so special.

Miss Rodeo Canada Princess 2010

Congratulations to our 2010 Miss Rodeo Canada Princess 2010 - Dana Hansen.
That's right our 2008 Miss Rodeo Airdrie now has a new title and we wish her all the best of luck with her new venture.





Dana Competed this last week against 5 other girls for this amazing title. On Thursday she was crowned at the Miss Rodeo Canada Luncheon and she's been wearing it proudly ever since. I know she will get to go on many great adventures throughout her year that will take her ever farther than she did as our Miss Rodeo Airdrie.
Best of Luck Dana with this new title, and I know we'll see you down the road.
I am so proud of you.

Miss Rodeo Canada Competition 2010

So part of my reason for getting into Photography was my involvement with the Airdrie Rodeo Ranch Association.
I have been director of the Queen Committee for the past 3 years now and absolutely love meeting and working with some absolutely wonderful and lovely ladies vying for and wearing the crowns of Miss Rodeo Airdrie and the Airdrie Pro Rodeo Princess.

This year I am extremely excited to go up to Edmonton and cheer on our 2008 Miss Rodeo Airdrie Dana Hanson, competing for the title of 2010 Miss Rodeo Canada. This has been a dream of hers for so long, and now she gets a chance to shine. She has been preparing for quite some time going to clinics and workshops in helps to keep her on top of the competition.
She is an amazing woman and I know that she will do so well up there.
The crowning takes place during the Canadian Finals Rodeo 2009, on Thursday November 12th.
I will keep you all posted on how she does.

Good luck Dana, you will do amazing.

I was just going through some of my original photos I'd taken over the past couple of years and wanted to share some.

Family Photos

It has taken a couple of months before schedules and weather finally worked out for a photo shoot with Russ and Teal Hallaby & Hunter.

It was a little chilly and we were quick in order to get the little amount of sun and daylight left, but the pictures turned out fabulous. Wanted to share a few.

Scrapbooking

Scrapbooking is a rather large part of my life. Not only am I busy creating my own pages for my memories, I also am a Independent Demonstrator for Close to my Heart. http://www.closetomyheart.com/.

I have been with them just about 2 years. March 2010, will mark that aniversary for me. This year I have taken on not only 1 but 2 scrapbooking clubs which are off and running. Very exciting for me. Creating pages and layouts for my members so they can take the pages home and just add pictures. But at the same time, using stamps and techniques to add embelishments to your pages.

Photography

A couple of years ago I got into this wonderful world of Photography and I am absolutely loving it. Each session brings me new challenges as I learn and grow.

Summer 2008, I did photography of my first wedding at the Calgary Zoo.

This is my cousin and her family, fall 2008.

This is a photo shoot done of a good friend of mine. Pregnancy shots, and then shots of their wonderful baby boy.

This was my cousin's wedding party New Years 2008!

As I am writing this and uploading pictures I realize I have taken a lot more than I thought.

I would love the chance to capture you and your family's special moments, and now is a great time to get those family shots done for the Christmas season.
