April Showers

I was up and at 'em bright and early this morning to get a good start off to my day.
Returned to the Wild Animal recovery Center to finish my photography of the birds I had missed yesterday. Owls, Hawks and Eagles. A little repeat from yesterda, but i definitely needed to stop, as the photographer / scrapbooker I am, I would have been mad not to have them to add to my pages.

The up the Road to stop at Englishman River Falls Provincial Park

The Falls were absolutely amazing, and that sound of Rushing water is so cool. I was actually the only one on the trail at the time, so it was quite peaceful. The total walk to see the upper and lower falls, round trip is only about a half hour.
Here are some of the photos I got.

After a great walk around the falls, and the sun shining, I headed off for Port Alberni. Feeling pretty good about my day so far, I was quite excited. However that excitement was short lived as within that 1/2 hour drive the weather changed quite a bit.
I stopped at the information center for some suggestions on what to do. Some great outdoor suggestions, were put on hold as the rain started coming down.

I went down to Alberni Harbour Quay and found a great little restaurant for lunch. Overlooking the Marina. As I ate, the rain came and went and came again.
So shopping it was, in hopes the rain would let up a little.
Very little it was, so I headed up to the Museum to see what was there. I walked around for about 45 mintues, and looked at there older displays. Their feature display was the progression of Video Games. So reading and playing a little, I was ready to leave.
And sure enough, more rain. Which then was my decision to call it a day and leave Port Alberni.
Here is a shot of the road as I was leaving right as I was hitting the "snow" part of my drive. That's right, SNOW.

So a somewhat eneventful day, but still nice to be out and about to see the island.
Tomorrows adventures are still to be determined.
